Dr. Boyce

Dr. Brandon Boyce is a board-certified, fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon who specializes in joint preservation as well as surgical reconstruction of the hip,knee, and shoulder. He completed subspecialty fellowship training at the prestigious Aspen Sports medicine institute in Aspen Colorado, where he received additional training in sports medicine and orthopedic trauma and fractures. Through his career, Dr. Boyce has provided orthopedic medical coverage for the US Ski Team, US Cycling Team, NASCAR, ESPN X Games, as well as NCAA football, baseball, and basketball. He also covers numerous local high school teams. A former Division 1 basketball player himself, Dr. Boyce knows what it takes to get you back on the field or back to enioying the activities you love. When repair or reconstruction is not an option, Dr. Boyce offers the newest technologies in joint replacements to his patients including anterior hip replacements, and even outpatient total joint replacements in appropriate patients. He also has a clinical interest in offering minimally invasive surgical and nonsurgical options including multiple arthroscopic procedures, the Tenex procedure for chronic tendinitis or fasciitis, the Coolief procedure for chronic hip, knee, and shoulder joint pain, as well as the latest regenerative medicine injections including PRP and amnion treatments. Education & Background

Brandon Boyce M.D., a native of Georgia, graduated from Wofford College, Spartanburg SC with a degree in Biology in 2001 before attending Medical School at the Medical College of Georgia, Augusta GA, where he received his Doctor of Medicine in 2005. Dr. Boyce completed an orthopedic residency at West Virginia University in 2011 and a Sports Medicine fellowship from Aspen Sports Medicine Foundation in 2012. He then started his orthopedic practice at Orthopedics Sports Medicine and Surgery in 2012, serving the people of Upson County and surrounding areas.

Dr. Boyce is actively involved in research and has been honored as a scientific presenter at national meetings and published multiple articles in peer-reviewed journals. He is the team physician for Gordon College Athletics, Barnesville GA.

Dr. Boyce, along with his wife and children, lives on a Wagyu beef farm. He enjoys hunting, outdoor activities and playing sports. He is a former NCAA Division 1 college athlete.

Dr. Boyce is currently seeing new patients who suffer with any orthopedic ailments and sports injuries. Patients can be seen in his office in Thomaston, GA.
